Apple to Open Grand Central Store by Black Friday: Report

NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- It looks like Apple's ( AAPL) highly-anticipated Grand Central Station store in Manhattan will be open in time for Black Friday.

According to TechCrunch, construction on the 23,000 square-foot store is slated to conclude on Nov. 11. This will be Apple's fifth retail store in the New York City region and the Grand Central location is expected to be one of its biggest stores.

Apple has a 10-year deal with the MTA to lease the space and rent reportedly starts at $800,000 a year and increases by 3% each year.

Apple will share the space with burger joint Shake Shack.
