The Washington Metropolitan Airports Authority has gotten some help cutting its electric bill from Pepco.

Pepco Energy Services has installed a 10 kilowatt demonstration solar power project at the authorityâ¿¿s Dulles Toll Road administration building in McLean. The unit is expected to increase efficiency and lower costs at the facility.

The project is similar to ones installed for the BWI/Marshall Airport and the Maryland Port Administration.

Pepco Energy Services Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pepco Holdings Inc. (NYSE: POM) and provides commercial, institutional, government and industrial customers with energy efficiency services, including renewable energy and combined heat and power.

In the second quarter of 2011, Pepco Energy Services accounted for $476 million in revenue of Pepco Holdings total revenues of $1.6 billion.
