Alcatel-Lucent has a market cap of $6 billion and is part of the technology sector. Shares are down 9.1% year to date as of the close of trading on Thursday.

TheStreet Ratings rates Alcatel-Lucent as a hold. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its robust revenue growth, impressive record of earnings per share growth and compelling growth in net income. However, as a counter to these strengths, we also find weaknesses including a generally disappointing performance in the stock itself, generally poor debt management and weak operating cash flow.

On the positive front, Trunkbow International Holdings ( TBOW), Novatel Wireless Inc ( NVTL), Premiere Global Services Inc ( PGI), and Ubiquiti Networks Inc ( UBNT) were all gainers within the telecommunications industry with Verizon Communications Inc ( VZ) being today's featured telecommunications industry winner.
