Chairman of the Board and CEO of Dril-Quip Inc. (NYSE: DRQ) J. Mike Walker has retired and is stepping down, effective immediately.

John Lovoi has been appointed chairman, and Blake DeBerry has been appointed president and CEO. James Gariepy has been named senior vice president and COO.

Lovoi has been on the board of directors since May 2005, and is chairman of the nominating, governance and compensation committee. He is the managing partner of JVL Advisors LLC, a private energy investing company, and a director at Helix Solutions Group (NYSE: HLX).

DeBerry has worked at Dril-Quip since 1988. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of sales and engineering. Gariepy has worked in domestic and international management positions since he joined the company in 2003. His most recent assignment was senior vice president for manufacturing, project management and service.

Dril-Quip is a Houston-based manufacturer of offshore drilling and production equipment.
