After weeks of price drops, retail gasoline prices have crept back up in Houston this week.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded has jumped 8 cents to $3.26, according to AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch. Galveston motorists will see a 9-cent increase to $3.28 a gallon.

Overall in Texas, gasoline prices jumped a dime to an average $3.34, while the national average went up 4 cents to $3.47 per gallon.

Fueling the rise in prices is financial uncertainty overseas which in turn continues to impact commodities markets, AAA reported.
