California Tops The List For Solar Related Jobs

California continues to top the list as the national leader for solar employment with a total of 25,575 workers, according to a report released Monday from the Solar Foundation.

The nonprofit solar education and research group came out with its second annual review of the U.S. solar workforce, called "National Solar Jobs Census 2011: A Review of the U.S. Solar Workforce." It showed that more than 100,000 Americans are now working in the solar sector.

According to the study, solar employers are also planning to increase hiring by 24 percent, or nearly 24,000 net new jobs by August 2012.
