Last week, Triad and state gas prices increased for the first time in more than a month, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.

A gallon of regular unleaded in the Triad averages $3.42, up 5 cents from $3.37 a week ago. Mid-grade gasoline prices increased by 4 cents to $3.55. Premium prices rose by 5 cents to $3.69, and diesel prices added one penny to reach $3.79.

Charlotte-area regular unleaded prices added 5 cents from a week prior to reach $3.41, while Triangle-area regular gas prices rose by 7 cents to $3.44.

Similar price increases were seen across the state, with a gallon of regular unleaded averaging $3.44, up 6 cents from a week ago. Mid-grade and premium gasoline prices each rose by 5 cents, reaching $3.57 and $3.70, respectively. Statewide diesel prices held flat from a week ago at $3.80.
