Gasoline prices edged up slightly during the past week in Western New York.

A gallon of gas sold for an average of $3.699 in Erie and Niagara counties as of Monday morning, according to the American Automobile Association.

That was up a bit more than a cent from $3.686 per gallon one week ago.

AAA issues daily price estimates for metropolitan areas across the country, based on its review of credit-card purchases at self-service stations.
