UGI Corp. said Friday it has bought Royal Dutch Shell plcâ¿¿s liquefied petroleum gas distribution businesses in the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden for an undisclosed sum.

The Valley Forge, Pa., company said in a press release that the businesses delivered about 300 million gallons of LPG last year and will boost the amount its European LPG business distributes annually to more than 700 million gallons.

UGI (NYSE:UGI) bought the Polish and Hungarian LPG businesses of Royal Dutch Shell (NYSE:RDS-A, RDS-B) last year.

AmeriGas Partners LP (NYSE:APU), the American propane distribution business that UGI owns 44 percent of, bought a Michigan propane distributor owned by Shell in 2007.
