SAIC Wins $11 Million Construction Contract

By Washington Business Journal

McLean-based SAIC Inc. has won an $11 million contract for construction services from HollyFrontier Corp.

SAIC said that the contract called for it to provide design-build services to ensure that a new benzene saturation unit will meet Environmental Protection Agency regulatory requirements.

The new unit is being built at HollyFrontier's existing facility in Woods Cross, Utah. It is expected to be in operation by June 2012.

HollyFrontier is an independent petroleum refiner producing and marketing gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, asphalt, heavy products and specialty lubricant products.

SAIC (NYSE: SAI), which specializes in engineering and technology applications, reported lower profits and revenue for the fiscal second quarter and lowered its full-year outlook.
