For those thinking about buying an electric vehicle, it might be easier to get your charging station set up.

Auburn-based ClipperCreek Inc., a manufacturer of electric vehicle chargers, said customers can now buy their charging stations online, instead of going through complicated forms or processes.

Chief executive officer Jason France said the stations can be shipped directly to customers, who will still need to have them installed by a local electrician.

ClipperCreek stations are approved for using with the Nissan Leaf, Chevy Volt, Ford Transit Connect, Ford Focus Electric, Tesla Roadster, Mitsubishi iMiev and Smart Fortwo Electric.
