NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie announced his endorsement of Mitt Romney on Tuesday ahead of a GOP debate scheduled at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.
"Unlike our current president, Mitt Romney understands the economy from the inside out," Christie said in a statement. "Right now, we need someone like him in the White House to fundamentally change our economy and reverse three years of failed policies." Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, said he was honored to have Christie's support and that Christie's fight to reform government and cut spending were the same reforms that Romney himself has campaigned for in the 2012 presidential race. --Written by Joe Deaux in New York. >To submit a news tip, send an email to: email@example.com
