Georgia Gas Prices Down Yet Again

By Atlanta Business Chronicle

Georgia drivers are getting another break at the gas pumps, according to AAA Auto Club South.

For about the third week or so in a row, gas prices are falling here. The average price per gallon is now $3.24, compared with $3.27 a week ago, $3.56 a month ago and $2.68 a year ago.

The national average price of regular unleaded gasoline is $3.39 per gallon -- down 3 cents from last week.

"Retail gas prices fell for the past month as the price of oil continued to drop,⿝ said Jessica Brady, spokeswoman for AAA, in a statement. ⿿Although oil prices increased last week, consumers will not likely see pump prices rise, but instead remain relatively unchanged from last week's averages. The positive economic news released last week will likely serve as a band aid to temporarily ease investor concerns about the economy."
