CHICAGO ( TheStreet) -- Boeing's ( BA) commercial aircraft deliveries through the third quarter continue to be flat compared with a year ago, but increases are coming. In September, Boeing delivered its first 787 Dreamliner to ANA, with more deliveries planned. Additionally, the aircraft maker plans to gradually ramp up production of the 737, long its principal product.
Boeing, a Dow component and America's biggest exporter, said it delivered 127 commercial aircraft in the third quarter, up from 124 deliveries in the third quarter of 2010. In both years, the 737 accounted for 100 third quarter deliveries.
