Tampa Electric, Energy Center Partner For School Project

By Tampa Bay Business Journal

Tampa Electric joined the Florida Solar Energy Center in a project to install a 10-kilowatt solar array at Centennial Middle School in Pasco County.

The installation is part of a $1.5 million investment Tampa Electric plans over the next five years to help customers install renewable technologies, a statement said.

The solar photovoltaic system at the school is the first system installed under the program and will supply power to the school during normal operation and can also operate using backup batteries.
