Progress Energy, Kinder Morgan Agree To Secure Coal Supply

Progress Energy Florida and Kinder Morgan Energy Partners LP (NYSE:KMP) approved a long-term agreement that will facilitate a more secure supply of coal for Progress Energyâ¿¿s Crystal River power plant, according to a written statement.

The coal will be shipped from the Illinois Basin and the Central Appalachian regions to KMPâ¿¿s facility, where it will be held and then delivered across the Gulf of Mexico to Crystal River.
