Triad, State Gas Prices Fall For Fourth Week

Gas prices across the state and the Triad slipped an average of 6 cents last week, marking the fourth consecutive week of declines, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.

In the Triad, a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline averages $3.41, down 6 cents from a week ago. Mid-grade slipped 6 cents to $3.56, and premium gas lost 5 cents to reach $3.70. Diesel prices in the Triad dipped 3 cents to $3.81.

In the Charlotte area, regular unleaded averages $3.40, a 7-cent decline from last week. In the Triangle, the price for regular unleaded lost 6 cents to reach $3.44.

Across the state, regular, mid-grade and premium gas lost 6 cents, reaching $3.42, $3.56 and $3.69, respectively. Diesel prices fell 3 cents to $3.82.
