DETROIT ( TheStreet) -- Negotiations between Ford ( F) and the United Auto Workers continue Monday amid indications that a tentative deal may be close. The union has summoned leaders from local chapters around the country to be in Detroit on Tuesday, potentially to learn the details of a tentative agreement that would have to be ratified by local members.
Ford employs about 41,000 hourly workers. Last month, GM ( GM) workers
signed a deal that included a bonus of $5,000. Ford workers are expected to receive a bigger bonus. -- Written by Ted Reed in Charlotte, N.C. >To contact the writer of this article, click here: Ted Reed >To follow the writer on Twitter, go to http://twitter.com/tedreednc. >To submit a news tip, send an email to: email@example.com.
