EMagin Announces Shipment Of New OLED Deposition Machine

eMagin Corporation (NYSE Amex: EMAN, the “Company”), the leader in the development, design and manufacture of Active Matrix OLED microdisplays for high resolution imaging products, announced today that its new, proprietary OLED deposition machine has been shipped from the manufacturer, SNU Precision Co., Ltd., and is scheduled to arrive at eMagin’s production facility in Hopewell Junction, New York, in early November. The new OLED deposition machine is expected to increase OLED deposition capacity by approximately tenfold, to increase yield, and to contribute to a substantially more efficient, automated process with lower maintenance requirements and greater utilization. The new $4.0 million tool will replace the Company's existing Satella OLED deposition machine, an R&D tool adapted and used by eMagin for both R&D and production since the Company’s inception in 1996. The substantial production efficiencies expected to be realized from the new machine will enable the Company to further address its key domestic and international markets, which include military, industrial and consumer applications. Once the new machine is operating efficiently, the Satella machine will be used mainly for the research and development of new, state-of-the-art microdisplay products.
