NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- Amazon ( AMZN) registered a new domain name over the weekend that could provide clues on its potential tablet device.

The e-commerce giant registered the domain name KindleScribe.com, which has led tech bloggers to speculate over the possibility of a tablet with a stylus.

Amazon previously registered domain names KindleAir.com and KindleSocialNetwork.com.

Amazon also recently registered a trademark for a logo for its Lab126, the internal group responsible for the Kindle.

The Amazon tablet is expected to launch sometime in October if rumors prove true.
