Pacer International, Inc. (NASDAQ:PACR), the North American freight transportation and global logistics services provider, was recently awarded “Best in Show” by the Transportation Marketing and Sales Association (TMSA) for its Smoother marketing campaign promoting Pacer’s intermodal services.

Pacer received the award at the TMSA’s annual conference in June. The “Best in Show” award denotes the highest award given to any company at the conference. Pacer was selected from a pool of more than 100 TMSA member company entries.

Pacer received the award for its web-based tool which is the centerpiece of the Smoother campaign. This tool was created to allow users to see the potential carbon emission reductions and cost savings associated with Pacer’s intermodal transportation offerings. The Smoother Moves Calculator is centered on Pacer’s ability to provide better, faster, smarter, and more sustainable transportation solutions to the marketplace.

At the conference, Pacer was also pleased to learn that WT100–—the trade magazine who serves more than 40,000 subscribers–—wanted to feature Pacer’s Smoother Moves Calculator on its homepage and in its resource center. “We believe Pacer’s tool is unique in our industry and it will be a valuable resource for our subscribers,” said Sarah Harding, Group Publisher of the magazine.

“We value the TMSA and the resources it brings to the transportation industry. It is an honor to receive the “Best in Show” award for our Smoother Moves Calculator. We look forward to providing more award-winning tools, assets, and other thought-leadership resources to the industry,” said Mike Burns, Chief Commercial Officer of Pacer.
