SHANGHAI ( TheStreet) - General Motors ( GM) said Tuesday its joint ventures in China sold 9.9% more care in June than a year earlier, and 5.3% more during the first six months of 2011 than last year.

The automaker said its China joint ventures sold 193,878 cars in China in June. It sold a record 1.27 million vehicles from January to June 2011.
