InFocus® Corporation and Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM) today announced a relationship that makes Ingram Micro the exclusive authorized distributor in the U.S. for the InFocus Mondopad. The newly launched Mondopad is a unique all-in-one giant collaboration tablet incorporating disruptively priced, any-to-any cloud video conferencing that is aimed at small and medium sized businesses (SMBs). The expanded distribution relationship will enable Ingram Micro to offer Mondopad’s business-grade collaboration solution to its U.S. network of value-added resellers (VARs) and managed service providers (MSPs). Ingram Micro will provide dedicated resources, technology expertise and support required to build and expand InFocus’ reach across the IT channel. “This agreement expands the InFocus and Ingram Micro relationship. Ingram Micro is the world’s largest provider of technology products and services, and as a result is the perfect partner to build momentum for Mondopad’s unique combination of hardware, software and cloud video conferencing,” said Jim Reddy, InFocus Vice President of Sales - Americas. “VARs and MSPs who add Mondopad collaboration tablets to their product offerings can increase their sales and profits with three revenue generating opportunities – a hardware sale with generous margins, recurring revenue from remote monitoring and management and a new recurring revenue stream based on cloud video conferencing subscriptions.” Mondopad is a giant 55-inch HD wall tablet that combines intuitive touch presentation and collaboration applications with cloud video conferencing to offer a disruptively priced all-in-one collaboration display. “The Mondopad is a welcome addition to Ingram Micro’s growing portfolio of digital signage and collaboration technologies,” said Kevin Prewett, vice president, vendor management, Ingram Micro U.S. “Together with InFocus, we will provide VARs and MSPs the opportunity to integrate an entirely new collaboration tool, managed services and cloud communications into customer solutions for SMBs and enterprise clients.” Editor’s Note: For multimedia content, click here.
