Canvys ®, a division of Richardson Electronics, Ltd., announces the release of the Image Systems X Series diagnostic and clinical imaging LCD displays for the healthcare industry at SIIM 2011 (Booth 719-721). The Image Systems X Series medical monitors have been re-defined, re-designed, and re-engineered. The X Series raises the standard in medical imaging by delivering outstanding display performance coupled with cutting edge technology.

“The X-Series continues our tradition of offering highly-regarded Image Systems medical grade LCD displays for radiology,” commented Dave Sorensen, Director of Product Development and Operations, Healthcare. “These LCDs are equipped with both front and rear luminance sensors – an important feature not always found on other medical monitors. Best-of-all, they are integrated with our industry-leading CFS calibration and monitoring software.”

The ergonomically designed X Series displays are designed with the user in mind and provide the highest levels of imaging performance for intensive PACS and radiology use.

The products within the series include the:

All Image Systems X series include both front (of screen) and rear (backlight) luminance sensors for precise, automatic, hands-free luminance and DICOM® 3.14 calibration over the life of the display. Additional features include an ambient sensor positioned on top of the monitor, a 14-bit precision look-up table, digital luminance uniformity correction, bottom-of-bezel LED lamps for localized table top reading, and broad connectivity and graphic card compatibility. The intelligent power management functionality allows for less than ONE watt power consumption when the system is not in use (power saving mode).

The Canvys booth (719-721) at SIIM 2011 will also feature WIDE Corporation’s new MW100 – a 30-inch 10 MP LCD display for Mammography. The display offers visual performance and quality in a bezel free view and is fully compatible with CFS calibration software. It features:
  • Elegant and ergonomic design
  • Innovative Smooth and Precise Tilt/Height Adjustable Stand-Base
  • Precise Expression: True 10-bit LCD and 14-bit precision look-up tables
  • Built-in IQ Sensor II for DICOM calibration
  • World’s top of class of Luminance Uniformity Correction (LUC)
  • 20-25% reduction of power consumption

Canvys will also be showcasing the world's first DICOM® 3.14 calibrated mobile workstation (laptop). HP’s new HP EliteBook Mobile Workstations, utilizing the HP DreamColor display and integrated with Canvys’ Image Systems CFS™ calibration software provides radiologists, clinicians and administrators the mobility they need without sacrificing computing power, processing speed or image quality anywhere and at anytime. The CFS™ WebSuite calibration software addresses the growing trend of workforce mobility by enabling administrators to access their deployed displays from any workstation or mobile device.

Canvys will be demonstrating these new products (new Image Systems X Series, WIDE 10MP LCD, and DICOM calibrated laptop) at SIIM - Booth 719-721 in Washington D.C. – June 2-5, 2011.
