PITTSBURGH (AP) â¿¿ Mine Safety Appliances Co. said Wednesday its board raised the company's regular quarterly dividend to 26 cents from 25 cents. The 4 percent increase is payable June 10 to shareholders of record on May 23. The board of the maker of safety products for workers and consumers also declared a 56.25-cent dividend on its preferred stock, payable June 1 to shareholders of record on May 23. Shares of the company slipped 48 cents to close at $38.68 Wednesday.
