Harley-Davidson Inc., down $2.10 at $37.61

Net income at the motorcycle maker more than tripled in the first quarter, yet it fell short of analyst expectations.

Goodrich Corp., up $1.73 at $85.96

A Wedbush analyst upgraded the aerospace supplier's stock, saying the company will benefit from its cost reduction initiatives.

Johnson & Johnson, up $2.23 at $62.69

The maker of Band-Aids reported earnings that topped expectations, and it also said it was raising its full-year earnings outlook.

NYSE Euronext Inc., up 38 cents at $38.70

Nasdaq and IntercontinentalExchange offered to pay a hefty fee to the stock exchange operator if their buyout bid isn't approved.

Timken Co., up $2.59 at $50.90

The metal parts maker said it will increase its annual steel-making capacity at its Canton, Ohio factories by 120,000 tons.


EMS Technologies Inc., up $3.26 at $24.03

After getting inquiries from potential buyers, the maker of communications products said it is exploring strategic alternatives.

Texas Instruments Inc., down 25 cents at $34.54

The chip maker said production setbacks due to the disaster in Japan hurt its first-quarter results.

Seagate Technology PLC, up 9 cents at $17.93

The disk drive maker said it was buying Samsung's hard disk drive business in a $1.38 billion deal.
