Virginia Commerce Bank Announces Officer Appointment To Head New Customer Care Center

Virginia Commerce Bank is proud to announce plans to open a customer service call center, which will be known as VCB Customer Care, during the second quarter of this year. The Bank is committed to providing exceptional service by promptly responding to client inquiries and meeting their financial needs. VCB Customer Care will provide direct contact for clients to access knowledgeable banking professionals, not an automated answering service. The center will be located in Manassas and will operate on a schedule similar to the Bank’s branches, open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays.

In anticipation of the soon-to-launch Customer Care center, Virginia Commerce Bank is proud to announce the appointment of Melanie McAndrew as Vice President, Customer Care Manager. A native of Northern Virginia, Ms. McAndrew brings more than 25 years of banking and call center experience at Wells Fargo/Wachovia.

“We're committed to providing exceptional client service at Virginia Commerce Bank," said Steve Reeder, Chief Deposit Officer. "Under Melanie’s leadership, we are excited to launch VCB Customer Care as another key touch point in building relationships with our clients and serving their needs. Unlike most call centers that start with an automated greeting and a maze of options, Melanie and our team of associates will answer the phones live during our business hours, consistent with our philosophy of providing highly personal service.”

Established in 1988, Virginia Commerce Bank (NASDAQ-VCBI) is a full-service, community bank headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, with over $2.7 billion in assets. The Bank serves the Northern Virginia and Fredericksburg markets with twenty-eight branches, a mortgage lending office and a wealth management services department.
