Vegas Pool Clubs Open With Top Amenities

LAS VEGAS (TheStreet) -- Spring may have just started, but it's already sizzling in Las Vegas, and that means the hottest pool clubs in the country are already in the swim of things.

Although many hotel pools accommodate guests' cravings for food and drink, the very best do so with seductive pool clubs, addressing one's every desire within the most spectacular settings. TravelsinTaste.com has searched for -- and found -- the best luxury pool clubs, where guests relax in private cabanas, enjoy massages, savor exotic aromas in a hookah lounge and sample meals that are cooked by celebrity chefs and delivered with a perfectly chilled glass of Dom Perignon. Here's where to reserve your cabana, spa treatment and next first-class meal.

Azure opened for business March 19 at the Palazzo ( LVS), though its official opening will be April 9. Azure's amenities and star-studded soirees may make it the ultimate in luxury. Reminiscent of the French Riviera, it offers DJ entertainment, fashion shows and a hookah lounge with blends prepared by an onsite hookah master using all-natural tobacco and charcoals found only in Egypt or Lebanon. Thirty fruit flavors are available either individually or combined for a flavorful impact for the most avid smoker, and the master's unique presentation incorporates history and etiquette.

The Liquid Pool Lounge at Aria Resort & Casino is the latest entry by the Light Group.

Guests can also treat themselves to some of Wolfgang Puck's tantalizing creations, such as salt and pepper calamari; popcorn shrimp with sweet and spicy chili sauce; and prime rib panini with white cheddar, horseradish cream, housemade steak sauce with french fries, all served with specialty cocktails, wine, bottles of premium liquors or magnums of premium champagnes such as Dom Perignon, Perrier Jouet Fleur and Veuve Clicquot. For those watching their waistline, Canyon Ranch's poolside cabana spa services are no less delectable, especially the signature "Champagne on the Rocks" massage, which combines cold stones, a cooling menthol foot mask and antioxidant rich champagne body oil -- which not only feels good, but helps protect the skin from damage wrought by the desert sun.

TAO Beach sits atop the TAO Asian Bistro and Nightclub and has been a celebrity favorite for the likes of Jessica Simpson, Michael Jordan and Heidi Klum since its opening in 2005. Services include private masseuses, misting and Canyon Ranch Spa treatments. Guests can quench their hunger with Asian delicacies from TAO while soaking up the sun, partying until it sets and luxuriating in cabanas with the latest high-tech: HD plasma-screen televisions, DVD players, Xbox 360s and iPod rentals.

Once Saturday evening arrives, the Club is transformed to a floating Asian city complete with a pool light show, Chinese lanterns and four 14-foot fire columns.

Encore Beach Club ( WYNN), part of Steve Wynn's impressive Encore resort, includes three tiered pools, daybeds, 26 cabanas, eight bungalows with private infinity hot tubs and a gambling pavilion. Guests can relax on lily pads in the shallow end of the pool or party it up and dance under shower poles to a world-renowned DJ spinning the hottest chart-topping tunes.

Cabana amenities include massages, bottle service, morning yoga and even a grill available to all guests. Pool guests can also order Switch Steakhouse wraps, salads and sandwiches designed especially for them by Executive Chef Rene Lenger.

Aria Resort & Casino's ( MGM) Liquid Pool Lounge is an adults-only outdoor playground from the Light Group that opened for the season Thursday. Poolside pampering and indulgence is taken to the extremes at this summer refuge, so it's no wonder it's a spot favored by celebrities such as Zac Ephron and Carrie Underwood. Towering palms surround two VIP pools, eight private cabanas with everything modern technology can provide, 85 chaise longues and 35 daybeds. Chef Brian Massie prepares lighthearted yet sophisticated cuisine at a 50-seat restaurant with poolside views and specialty cocktails.

The newly opened Cosmopolitan Day Club Pool features infinity pools and three-story bungalow lofts complete with cabanas, living quarters and a party deck on top. By day it's an adults-only pool; by night, an extension of the Marquee nightclub.
