Pattern Opens Houston Wind Energy Center

Pattern Energy Group LP has opened a 24-hour operations center in Houston for its wind energy projects.

Pattern Energy is using the facility to monitor and control the operation of its 220 North American wind turbines from the location in the Continental Building on Smith Street.

⿿Our operations team includes skilled technicians, wind experts and meteorologists that now have all the tools needed in one location to remotely monitor every technical and visual aspect of our projects, track local weather patterns and respond immediately to any changing conditions to ensure safety and maximize the project⿿s performance,⿝ said Mike Garland, CEO of Pattern Energy, in a statement.

Pattern Energy is headquartered in San Francisco but has its principal operations in Houston.
