Jacksonville Gas Price Drops 4 Cents

By Jacksonville Business Journal

Jacksonville gas prices dropped 4 cents over the past week.

The average cost of a gallon of regular gas is $3.05 in Jacksonville, down from $3.09 a week ago; $3.11 in Florida, down from $3.15; and $3.10 nationally, down from $3.11.

⿿While Egypt isn⿿t a major player in the oil market, Saudi Arabia is the world⿿s largest oil exporter and if oil production is affected, we can expect oil prices to rise,⿝ said Jessica Brady, public relations manager of AAA Auto Club South. ⿿While there is no immediate disturbance, the protests in Egypt will be closely watched. As for retail gas prices, they are expected to remain relatively unchanged despite the 23-cent increase in crude prices.⿝
