The problem was reported at about 9:45 a.m. Friday, when the Nasdaq was hovering at around 2755. "Nasdaq is investigating an outage on the Global Index Data Service (GIDS) that is affecting the dissemination of the NASDAQ OMX US and PHLX indexes and will advise," the company said in a statement. NASDAQ said it would begin disseminating the NDX, NBI and COMP indexes from its back-up calculator. There would be a momentary halt in each index as the switchovers were made. "We anticipate the switch to be complete by 10:25 a.m.," NASDAQ said. >>Search for Highest Dividends by Rate or Yield
