Altera ( ALTR) upgraded at BMO from Underperform to Market Perform. Valuation call.

Altera ( ALTR) estimates, target upped at UBS. ALTR estimates were boosted through 2012, UBS said. Company guided to higher sales and margins. Buy rating and new $42.50 price target.

BP ( BP) downgraded at Collins Stewart to Hold from Buy. Valuation call.

CSX ( CSX) upgraded at Wells from Market Perform to Outperform. Company has improved earnings visibility.

Quest Diagnostics ( DGX) upgraded at RBC from Sector Perform to Outperform. $66 price target. Valuation call, as the company can return to double-digit annual earnings growth.

Quest Diagnostics ( DGX) upgraded at Jefferies from Hold to Buy. $67 price target. Margins should improve as the company's volume recovery accelerates.

Intel ( INTC) upgraded at BMO from Market Perform to Outperform. Valuation call. $27 price target.

Marathon Oil ( MRO) upgraded at Morgan Stanley from Equal-weight to Overweight, Morgan Stanley said. $50 price target.

Occidental Petroleum ( OXY) downgraded at Morgan Stanley from Overweight to Equal-weight, Morgan Stanley said. $110 price target.

Scotts Miracle-Gro ( SMG) rated new Outperform at RBC. Coverage of SMG was started with an Outperform rating, RBC Capital said. $60 price target. Company can generate solid cash flow over the coming years.

Swift Transportation ( SWFT) rated new Equal-weight at Morgan Stanley. Stock is already pricing in the upcoming business cycle.

Swift Transportation ( SWFT) rated new Outperform at Baird. $18 price target. Company has significant earnings potential in the current cycle.

Tellabs ( TLAB) estimates, target lowered at Goldman. Shares of TLAB now seen reaching $6, according to Goldman Sachs. Estimates also reduced, as the company is losing market share to ALU. Neutral rating.

Xilinx ( XLNX) upgraded at BMO from Underperform to Outperform, BMO Capital said. Company has attractive secular growth potential.
