Education Management Corp - Upgrades & Downgrades

NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -TheStreet Ratings' stock model upgraded Education Management Corp ( EDMC) to 'Hold' from 'Sell'. Net income at this $2.3 billion market cap, post-secondary education company jumped 131.2% to a profit of $36.5 million in the fiscal first quarter compared to the year earlier quarter.

$69.8 million market cap, pharmaceutical company, CPEX Pharmaceuticals Inc ( CPEX) was upgraded to 'Buy' from 'Hold'. In third quarter results, CPEX Pharmaceuticals turned in a profit of $2.4 million compared to a loss of $870 thousand in the year earlier quarter.
