Apache Donates 25,000 Trees For Arbor Day

By Houston Business Journal

Apache Corp. said Thursday it will donate some 25,000 trees for planting to Houston Parks and Recreation in celebration of Arbor Day.

The Arbor Day Tree Planning event is open to the public at 7 a.m. Jan. 22 at designated locations on Wallisville road and the Loop 610 and Interstate 10 interchange.

⿿As a company that makes its living producing natural resources, Apache takes its responsibilities to the environment seriously by assessing the company⿿s ⿿footprint⿿ on the plant and implementing appropriate action to reduce that impact,⿝ said Obi O⿿Brien, vice president of government affairs for Houston-based Apache (NYSE: APA), in a statement.
