Noble To Do Drilling For Shell

Noble Corp. has signed an offshore drilling contract letter of intent with a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell Plc.

The Switzerland-based company, which has a large Houston operational presence, will begin the five-and-a-half-year contract in late 2013.

Noble (NYSE: NE) will do the work at a day rate of $410,000.
