Oil Industry Tech Firm Building 38Ksf Facility In Georgetown

By Austin Business Journal

Georgetown-based Bench Tree Group LLC broke ground Wednesday on a 38,000-square-foot manufacturing facility.

The company, founded in 2003, provides technology and services to the oil and gas drilling industry. The new building, designed by architect Randall Syptak, will house administrative, engineering, testing and manufacturing space. The expansion will allow Bench Tree to grow its 52-person staff to about 80.

Bench Tree designs, manufactures, repairs and calibrates Measurement While Drilling tools used in horizontal and directional drilling. The expansion will allow the company to quadruple production and service capacity.

Round Rock-based Chasco Construction is general contractor for the project and Bill Lawson of Commercial Real Estate Solutions is providing management. The building is set for completion in July and will stand alongside Bench Tree's existing 15,000-square-foot campus at 4681 C.R. 110 in Georgetown.
