Municipalities, schools and select nonprofits can apply for $150,000 in recycling project grants from Montgomery County.

The countyâ¿¿s solid waste district is accepting applications for the Recycling Incentive Grant Program until March 31. The funds are available, on a competitive basis, for projects that involve general recycling, waste reduction, litter prevention, composting opportunities and end use markets of recycled materials.

Applicants must attend a mandatory briefing session Feb. 1 at 9 a.m. at 2550 Sandridge Drive. Awards will be announced late April or early May.

For an application visit www.mcswd.org or call the recycle hotline at (937) 225-4999.
