CommScope, a global leader in infrastructure solutions for communications networks, has sold its wireless test and measurement product line to Anite plc, a leading provider of solutions to the international wireless industry. Through its Network Testing business based in Oulu, Finland, Anite supplies test and measurement tools under the Nemo product brand.

Under terms of the sale, Anite acquires from CommScope’s Andrew Solutions the Invex® wireless test and measurement product portfolio, existing customer commitments, and approximately 20 CommScope employees who directly work for the Invex product line. The remainder of those employees who previously supported the Invex product line will remain with CommScope’s Andrew Solutions. Other terms of the sale, which closed January 7, are not being disclosed.

“Invex products are in use around the world by many wireless operators,” said John Baker, vice president and general manager, Andrew Network Solutions. “In a consolidating test and measurement industry, we are confident that combining Invex with the strong Anite testing solutions will provide even greater options and stronger support for our customers in the future.”

“The Invex product line is a strategic add-on that will enhance the market position of Anite, a leading provider of test solutions for 2G, 3G and LTE wireless technologies,” said Jukka Honkila, managing director of Anite’s Network Testing business. Anite plans to integrate the acquired Andrew measurement tools as part of the Nemo portfolio in the near future, thus offering one of the strongest and most versatile tool platforms available for Anite’s and Andrew’s customers.

“Andrew’s measurement tools are an excellent addition to our already strong Nemo product portfolio,” said Honkila. “With the new wider product range, we are well positioned to address the broad demands of wireless networks’ measurements from standard KPI collection to fully fledged benchmarking and advanced post analysis.”
