Rite Aid Posts Sales Increase in December

NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- Rite Aid ( RAD) reported a 0.6% uptick in same-store sales in December.

Front-end comparable sales, which include discretionary items like cosmetics and food, rose 0.1%, while pharmacy same-store sales grew 1%.

Shares of Rite Aid are inching up 0.8% to 91 cents, before the bell.
