Although the price of crude oil remained relatively stable from last week, the price of gas continued to increase.

Floridaâ¿¿s average price of $3.09 a gallon is 3 cents higher than the previous week. Nationwide, the average price of a gallon of regular is $3.07, also up 3 cents.

"It's a mixed bag right now as to whether or not oil will increase this week," said Jessica Brady, manager for AAA public relations, in a news release. "Although economists forecast a lag in demand, a currently weak U.S. dollar could drive the price of oil higher this week.

Prices are trending higher in South Florida.

West Palm Beach had the highest price, at $3.17 a gallon, but was up the least â¿¿ just a penny â¿¿ from a week earlier.

The average price of a gallon of regular in Fort Lauderdale is at $3.14, up from $3.12 a week ago. And, in Miami, the average price of a gallon of regular is at $3.16, up from $3.14.
