NEW YORK ( TheStreet) -- Lockheed Martin ( LMT) was awarded a Navy contract on Wednesday worth up to $3.6 billion to build 10 warships between now and 2015.

Shares of the company are up 0.09%, or 6 cents, to $68.75 in premarket trading.


Qiao Xing Universal Resources posted pictures of its newly acquired Xinyuan lead-zinc-copper mine in Chifeng city yesterday. It also said it plans to launch a new Web site in early January.

Shares of the company are down 0.35%, or 1 cent, to $2.84 in premarket trading, as investors take profits.


Chinese digital media company Focus Media Holding ( FMCN) is buying a 15% stake in VisionChina Media ( VISN) for $61 million.

Shares of Focus Media are down 1.01%, or 22 cents, to $21.55 while VisionChina shares are up 0.65%, or 3 cents, to $4.70 in premarket trading.


Last week, WebMediaBrands ( WEBM) announced its plans to repurchase up to $2 million worth of its common stock.

Shares of the company are up 2%, or 3 cents, to $1.53 in premarket trading.


Borders Group ( BGP) is delaying payments to some of its vendors while it works to refinance its debt.

"As part of this potential refinancing, Borders has determined that it is necessary to restructure its vendor financing arrangements and is delaying payments to certain of its vendors," company spokesperson Mary Davis said in a telephone statement to TheStreet.

Shares of the company are down 12.93%, or 15 cents, to $1.01 in premarket trading.

Clearwire ( CLWR) Chairman Craig McCaw has resigned.

In November the company was unable to get its partners Sprint ( S), Comcast ( CMCSA), TimeWarner Cable ( TWC), Intel ( INTC) and Google ( GOOG) to invest more money in its network expansion bid in November.

Shares of the company are up 0.38%, or 2 cents, to $5.24 in premarket trading.


Jackson Hewitt Tax Services ( JTX) announced its plans to operate in over 2,000 Wal-Mart ( WMT) store locations in the coming tax season, which will expand its presence by about 10% from last year's level.

Jackson Hewitt shares are falling 1.76%, or 4 cents, to $2.23 in premarket trading.


BHP Billiton ( BHP) may be preparing a bid for oil and gas exploration company Anadarko Petroleum ( APC), a report in London's Daily Mail said Thursday.

Anadarko shares are up 0.36%, or 27 cents, to $75.86, while BHP is down 1.45%, or $1.35, to $91.55 in premarket trading.
