Wolfgang Puck is the original celebrity chef, and his name has been synonymous with gourmet pizza since he created a decadent smoked salmon and caviar version at his Beverly Hills restaurant Spago. His signature creations are available at his many restaurants -- including his newest, Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina, in Las Vegas' City Center (MGM - Get Report) -- but also on grocery store shelves.

Wolfgang Puck pizza boasts hand-stretched, stone-baked crust and a unique flavor and crispness, even from the grocer. Varieties include barbecue chicken, chicken poblano, Mediterranean vegetable, four-cheese tomato and pesto and pepperoni -- each featuring a signature sauce. If you're not in the mood for pizza, he offers appetizers including chicken potstickers, spring rolls, shrimp cakes and arancini.

Top chefs around the country are taking notice, and now they too are selling favorite dishes in a variety of venues and some very affordable ways.

Emeril Lagasse, executive chef and proprietor of restaurants in New Orleans and Las Vegas, including the new Lagasse's Stadiumat the Palazzo ( LVS - Get Report), has partnered with Sof'ella Gourmet Natural Foods to create "The Big Easy" gourmet side dishes. Inspired by Mardi Gras, they're distinctly Cajun in flavor and quick and easy to prepare. A home cook just adds ground beef, chicken or sausage, for instance, to create meals with Emeril's Sof'ella "Big Easy" Rice three-pack, which includes black-eyed peas, dirty rice and red bean and rice mix for $19.95.

When in the Big Easy, one must of course think of award-winning chef and humanitarian Paul Prudhomme, owner of K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen, a staple of New Orleans' French Corner. Prudhomme's Magic Seasoning Blends, popular with the professional chef and home cook alike, are available in 50 states and more than 25 countries. The real piece de resistance, though, is his sweet potato pecan pie ($55.95 including two-day air), which was previously only available at K-Paul's.

FreshDirect, a New York area online grocer, has launched a series of chef-inspired meals from such top New York restaurants as Tabla, part of Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group. The Indian-inspired meals of executive chef Floyd Cardoz include four-minute meals and ready-to-cook entrees once exclusive to Tabla, including Mint & Cashew Quinoa Pilaf ($5.99), Banana-Leaf Wrapped Coconut-Cilantro Salmon ($7.99) and Spicy Black Pepper Shrimp ($7.99).

Terrance Brennan, chef-proprietor of The Artisanal Group's Picholine, Artisanal Fromagerie, Bistro & Wine Bar and Bar Artisanal, has created several meals in partnership with FreshDirect. The meals include Artichoke, Taggiasca Olive and Roasted Pepper Risotto with Aged Manchego Cheese ($8.99); Beef Bourguignon with Egg Noodles ($9.99); Mustard-Glazed Salmon with Braised Lentils and Cabbage ($9.99); and Wild Yellowfin Tuna Steak with Provencal Marinade ($12.99).

This is prepared food with a pedigree. Brennan's kitchen tours include Le Cirque and many of Europe's greatest kitchens, including Taillevent, Le Tour d'Argent, Moulin de Mougin, Gualtiero Marchesi, Les Crayeres and La Gavroche. Picholine was awarded two stars in the 2008-11 Michelin guides.

Most recently launched is Schwan's Chef Jet line. Award-winning Asian cuisine master Jet Tila presides over Wazuzu in Steve Wynn's Encore resort. Between winning two Guiness World Records -- world's largest stir fry and world's largest sushi roll -- he found time to partner with Schwan's to create five of his signature dishes (from $4.99 to $12.99) for use at home: Thai Chicken Coconut Soup, Chicken Lo Mein, Salmon Teriyaki, Cantonese Steamed Cod with Ginger and Soy and his famous Drunken Noodles -- a flavor explosion featuring rice noodles, roasted chicken and a medley of fire-roasted onions, eggs and cherry tomatoes in a spicy-sweet soy, garlic, ginger and chili Asian sauce. The dish was featured on Food Network's ( SSP - Get Report) "Best Thing I Ever Ate" with Chopsticks, with host Giada DeLaurentis declaring the chicken the most tender she's had.
