At this year’s Medical Design & Manufacturing trade show in Minneapolis Oct. 13-14, Nortech Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ: NSYS) highlights enhanced resources and capabilities to benefit medical device and life science manufacturers.

In May 2010, Nortech Systems acquired the intellectual property and assets of Trivirix Corporation in Milaca, Minn., a company offering best-in-class design, manufacturing and post-production services for complex electronic and electromechanical medical devices in diagnostic, analytical and other life science applications, including Class III devices. In addition, the Milaca operation maintains international quality certifications (ISO 9001 and ISO 13485), FDA registration and Quality System Regulation (QSR) compliance.

“We understand the challenges faced by medical device and life science manufacturers introducing a new product – whether they’re start-ups or established Fortune 500 companies,” says Paul Fink, manager of Nortech Systems’ Life Sciences business unit. “We’ve built a solid reputation for successful collaboration with our customers while demonstrating proficiency navigating the ever-changing regulatory environment – both domestically and around the globe.”

Fink says Nortech Systems’ Life Sciences customers appreciate access to real-time production information 24x7 via AllianceNet ®, the company’s proprietary information portal. “This is another important way we partner with our customers, ensuring open communication,” he explains. “Any pre-production and project issues are addressed quickly so their launch timelines can be maintained.”

Nortech Systems’ new Life Sciences capabilities nicely complement the company’s significant, long-standing expertise in wire and cable assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies, and higher-level complete box build assemblies.
