After weeks of having the cheapest gasoline prices in the state, Houston lost out to San Antonio this week by a penny.

Houstonâ¿¿s average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline rose 3 cents to $2.54, according to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch. San Antonioâ¿¿s average at $2.53 per gallon had no movement from last week.

With the exception of San Antonio, gasoline prices were up across the state, with the overall state average up 3 cents to $2.59 per gallon.

The largest week-over-week increases were 4 cents in Dallas ($2.58), Fort Worth ($2.59) and El Paso, which had the most expense gasoline in the state at $2.74. The national average was up 2 cents to $2.74 per gallon.
