At least 14 energy conservation projects in the Albany, New York, area are getting a boost from stimulus funds.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds were announced by Gov. David Paterson on July 20 for use by municipalities, universities and colleges, hospitals and not-for-profit agencies.

This is the third round of funding to allocate $74 million for state energy program expenditures.

Among the 14 projects are: $30,000 for St. Peter's Hospital in Albany; $30,000 for Glens Falls Hospital; $27,520 for Northeast Parent & Child Society in Schenectady; and $21,200 for the Schenectady Youth Hockey Association.
