A recent survey of Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority customers shows a high level of satisfaction with services.

Research and Polling Inc. of Albuquerque conducted the survey. It interviewed 509 residential and 100 commercial customers.

Overall, 89 percent of residential users and 82 percent of commercial consumers said the water and sewer services they receive are a good value for the amount they pay. In addition, 75 percent and 89 percent, respectively, said they received good or excellent customer service.

Nearly 98 percent of residential customers said they were very satisfied or somewhat satisfied with the reliability and availability of water in their homes. Regarding drainage of wastewater to municipal sewer lines, 94 percent of residential users and 97 percent of commercial customers said they were satisfied.

Finally, more than 90 percent of residential customers expressed satisfaction with their bill payment options, the accuracy of statements and the billâ¿¿s format and use of graphs.

Water Authority Board Chair Trudy Jones said there is always room for improvement, but the survey is generally very positive.

⿿Obviously we⿿re very happy with these poll results,⿝ Jones, an Albuquerque City Councilor, said in a news release. ⿿They indicate that the Water Authority is moving in the right direction where our customers are concerned.⿝
