Mira Image Construction, Jennings Pacific LLC and Oceanic Companies Inc. were awarded sewer projects by the city of Honolulu totaling more than $7 million.

Mira was awarded two projects by the city. The first, for $299,000, is to rehabilitate 10 manholes, which will take about 12 months to complete once work begins. Mira also bid $695,699 on sewer work in Foster Village that is estimated to take one year to complete.

Jennings Pacific LLC was awarded the Lualualei Pump Station Force Main System contract with a bid of $1.85 million. The project will begin in December and is scheduled to take one year.

Oceanic Companies Inc. won the bid to make improvements to the Beachwalk Wastewater Pump Station with a bid of $4.3 million. Construction is estimated to begin in December and take two years.

⿿We continue to invest heavily in repairing our sewer collection system and wastewater treatment plants in keeping with our capital improvement priorities,⿝ Mayor Mufi Hannemann said. ⿿The money we collect in sewer fees goes exclusively to these projects.⿝
