Hawaii gas prices are up an average of 9 cents a gallon statewide when compared to last week, according to data from AAA Hawaii, although average prices for Oahu are unchanged.

AAA Hawaii said Thursday that the average price of a gallon of unleaded is now $3.47.

Honolulu was seeing $3.36 per gallon for regular unleaded, same as the previous week but 20 cents higher than this time last year.

Hilo, on the Big Island, is averaging $3.51 per gallon, which is up 6 cents in the past week and 22 cents higher than last year.

And Wailuku, on Maui, was averaging $3.78 per gallon, 2 cents higher than last week and 22 cents higher than last year.
