Keres Consulting has landed two federal contracts worth $13.2 million, the firm said Monday.

The American Indian-owned Albuquerque management consulting company won the contracts from the Department of Defense and the National Nuclear Security Administration.

As part of the contracts, Keres will help gather and track information about the environmental effects of Department of Defense activities on Native lands under the departmentâ¿¿s Native American Lands Environmental Mitigation Program. The program was established in 1996.

⿿The Native Lands Mitigation Program addresses the environmental health and safety of Indian lands that have been impacted by past military operations,⿝ said Keres President and CEO Tim Chavez. ⿿As a Native American-owned enterprise, we are grateful to continue to support this important program and the many tribes and Alaska Native Corporations it directly serves.⿝
