Gas prices in Massachusetts went up slightly this week, according to a new report from AAA Southern New England.

AAAâ¿¿s July 12th survey of gas prices found that the average price per gallon of self-serve, unleaded gas is averaging $2.71. Thatâ¿¿s up one penny from last week.

The current price is the same as the national average of $2.71 per gallon.

One year ago this week, the average price of fuel in the state was $2.56.
